Veterans India is guided by committed leaders, veterans, educationists, mentors and national contributors who support the mission of responsible citizenship, youth empowerment, veteran honour and national service.

Guiding Veterans India with Vision, Discipline and National Commitment

The Governing Committee plays an important role in strengthening the vision, structure, expansion and impact of Veterans India. It provides guidance for initiatives such as VPRF, Sankalp, HEI partnerships, youth leadership, CSR-linked activities, veteran welfare and national campaigns.

The committee brings together experience from the armed forces, education, public leadership, administration, social service and national development to ensure that Veterans India remains disciplined, transparent, apolitical and focused on Nation First.

Dr. B. K. Mishra’s life journey is a story of resilience, determination and leadership. Born in Barhouna, Bihar, on 5 January 1975, he rose from humble beginnings through discipline, dedication and commitment to national service. As Founder and National President of Veterans India, he leads the mission to transform patriotism into organised national service.

Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe has held distinguished research, academic and administrative responsibilities at reputed institutions including NERIST, IIT Guwahati, College of Engineering Pune and AICTE. His guidance strengthens Veterans India’s work with HEIs, youth leadership, value-based education and national development.

Capt B. N. Singh is a Founder Trustee of Veterans India. He served the nation for 36 years and, after hanging up the uniform, joined hands with Dr. B. K. Mishra and Brig R. K. Sharma, Sena Medal (Retd), to form the nationalistic association Veterans India.

Governing Committee

Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Pareek is Professor of Horticulture Postharvest Technology at NIFTEM, Kundli. He has served as Dean (PGS) and Coordinator (IQAC). A prolific writer, editor and science communicator, his work focuses on reducing food losses and increasing availability.

Governing Committee

Maj Gen Gagan Deep Bakshi, SM, VSM (Retd.), is a retired Indian Army officer. Commissioned from IMA Dehradun in November 1971, he commanded 6 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles and was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal and Sena Medal for distinguished service.

Brig R. K. Sharma, Sena Medal (Retd), is known for dedication, sincerity, loyalty and organisational commitment. As a brave soldier decorated with the Sena Medal for gallantry, he brings discipline, courage, integrity and service-oriented leadership to Veterans India.

Dr. M. B. Singh has travelled from the Armed Forces to the business wing of educational institutions, PSUs and NGOs across the country. He works on the theme “Bharat vs India” and remains active in adventure sports and national service-oriented activities.
