Veterans India accepts voluntary contributions, donations, CSR support and sponsorships to strengthen patriotic, social, educational, youth, veteran welfare and nation-building activities.

Donation Guidelines

Donation Policy of Veterans India

This policy explains how donations are received, utilised, recorded and acknowledged by Veterans India in support of its national service mission.

1. Purpose of Donations

Veterans India is a national, apolitical and patriotic organisation working to promote nationalism, patriotism, responsible citizenship, youth development, veteran welfare, social service and nation-building.

Donations received by Veterans India are used to support programmes, activities, campaigns, events, training, awareness drives, institutional partnerships and public service initiatives aligned with the objectives of the organisation.

  • Sankalp and Rashtra Seva Sankalp activities

2. Voluntary Nature of Donation

All donations to Veterans India are voluntary. Donors may contribute according to their willingness, capacity and area of interest.

Veterans India does not force or pressure any individual, institution, corporate, PSU, donor, member or volunteer to make any donation.

Donation is an expression of support towards national service and public welfare. It does not create any commercial right, ownership, personal benefit or decision-making authority in the organisation.

3. Accepted Sources of Donation

Veterans India may accept donations, sponsorships or support from lawful and ethical sources, including:

  • Individuals
  • Veterans and their families
  • Citizens of India
  • NRIs and OCIs, subject to applicable rules and legal compliance
  • Educational institutions
  • Corporates and business entities
  • Public Sector Undertakings
  • CSR partners
  • Philanthropic organisations
  • Well-wishers, supporters and donors

4. Mode of Donation

Donations should preferably be made through official and traceable modes only.

  • Online payment gateway available on the official website
  • Bank transfer to the official bank account of Veterans India
  • UPI or QR code linked with official account
  • Cheque or demand draft in favour of Veterans India
  • CSR or sponsorship support through proper documentation
Donors are advised not to make payment to any personal account or unauthorised person claiming to collect donation on behalf of Veterans India.

5. Donation Receipt & Acknowledgement

Veterans India may issue donation receipt or acknowledgement after confirmation of payment, subject to receipt of complete donor details and transaction verification.

  • Name of donor
  • Mobile number and email ID
  • Address, where required
  • PAN details, where applicable
  • Donation amount
  • Payment mode and transaction reference
  • Purpose or campaign name, if specified

Receipt generation may take reasonable processing time depending on verification and administrative requirements.

6. Utilisation of Donations

Donations received by Veterans India are utilised for organisational objectives and approved activities. The organisation may use donations for direct programme expenses as well as necessary administrative, operational and digital support expenses.

  • Training, workshops, seminars and public events
  • Awareness materials, banners, digital creatives and communication
  • Travel, logistics and coordination for approved activities
  • Technology, website, software, database and digital infrastructure
  • Documentation, reporting, media, photography and videography
  • Volunteer mobilisation and field activity support
  • Any other activity aligned with Veterans India objectives

7. No Refund Policy

Donations once made to Veterans India are generally non-refundable, as they are voluntary contributions made for charitable, patriotic, social and nation-building purposes.

Refund may be considered only in exceptional cases such as duplicate payment, technical error or wrong transaction, subject to written request, verification and approval by the competent authority.

Refund requests, if any, should be sent within 7 working days of payment with complete transaction details.

8. Donor Responsibility

Donors are requested to provide correct details at the time of donation. Veterans India shall not be responsible for delay or non-issuance of receipt due to incorrect donor information.

  • Provide correct PAN details where required
  • Keep transaction proof safely
  • Donate only through official channels

9. Transparency & Accountability

Veterans India believes in transparency, integrity and accountable use of public support. Donations are recorded and used for activities aligned with the organisation’s mission.

The organisation may publish activity reports, photographs, event summaries, impact details and updates to inform supporters and the public about ongoing work.

Record Keeping

Donation records are maintained for internal accounting and verification.

Ethical Use

Funds are used for approved patriotic and public service objectives.

Documentation

Activities may be documented through reports, photographs and updates.

Donor Trust

Veterans India values every donor’s trust and support for Bharat.

10. CSR, Sponsorship & Institutional Support

Corporates, PSUs, institutions and organisations may support Veterans India activities through CSR, sponsorship, project partnership or event support, subject to applicable law and documentation.

Specific CSR or sponsorship projects may require separate proposal, approval, documentation, utilisation reporting and compliance as per applicable rules.

11. Tax Benefit & Legal Compliance

Tax benefit, if applicable, shall be governed by the valid registration, approval and legal status of Veterans India at the time of donation.

Donors are advised to consult their tax advisor for claiming any tax benefit. Veterans India shall provide receipt or relevant document subject to legal eligibility and available donor information.

Tax exemption benefit is subject to applicable provisions, validity of registration, donor details and government rules.

12. Right to Refuse Donation

Veterans India reserves the right to refuse or return any donation if it appears to be from an unlawful, unethical, doubtful, politically motivated or reputationally harmful source.

The organisation may also refuse donations that come with conditions contrary to its mission, values, apolitical identity or public interest.

14. Policy Update
