Financial Management Policy of Veterans India
This policy defines the principles, procedures and standards for receiving, recording, approving, utilising, monitoring and reporting financial resources of Veterans India.
1. Purpose of the Policy
The purpose of this Financial Management Policy is to ensure that all funds, donations, grants, sponsorships, CSR support, membership contributions and other receipts of Veterans India are managed with discipline, integrity, transparency and accountability.
This policy supports the proper use of financial resources for approved objectives, programmes, initiatives and administrative requirements of the organisation.

- Cash transactions should be avoided as far as possible
- Every receipt should be supported by proper transaction proof
- Receipt or acknowledgement may be issued after payment verification

Donors, members and partners are advised to make payments only through official and traceable channels.
6. Budgeting & Planning
Veterans India may prepare budgets for major programmes, campaigns, projects, events and administrative functions to ensure planned and disciplined expenditure.

9. Restricted or Prohibited Use of Funds
Veterans India funds should not be used for unlawful, unethical, personal, political or unauthorised purposes.

- Any activity against the apolitical character of Veterans India
- Unlawful payment, bribe, commission or kickback
- Unapproved cash withdrawal or unexplained expenditure

10. Procurement & Vendor Payments

The competent authority may decide whether the concerned person should participate in that financial decision.
17. Fraud Prevention & Misuse Control
Veterans India does not tolerate fraud, financial misconduct, unauthorised collection, misappropriation or misuse of organisational funds.

- No personal bank account should be used for official donation collection
- False bills, inflated bills or fake expenses are prohibited
- Any suspected misuse should be reported to the competent authority

18. Roles & Responsibilities
Financial management is a shared responsibility of authorised office bearers, finance team, programme team and approved representatives.

- Programme Team: Budget request, activity execution and expense documentation
- State / District Teams: Proper use and reporting of funds received for local activities
