The Individual Pride of District Awards are the district-level individual recognition platform of Veterans India, presented annually on 26 July – Kargil Vijay Diwas. The Awards recognise individuals whose leadership, service, achievement and measurable contribution have created a positive difference within their district. Veterans India believes that nation-building begins at the grassroots. The Individual Pride of District Awards are therefore designed to identify and honour local contributors whose work may inspire wider State and National recognition.
