The Wing is designed as the modern, apolitical evolution of the earlier Social and Political Awareness Wing, while preserving its core purpose of helping citizens understand public issues, democratic institutions and their responsibilities in society.

Veterans India believes that responsible citizenship requires not only rights, but also awareness, discipline, participation and respect for lawful institutions.
