An evaluator with a direct personal, professional or financial conflict must not influence the relevant award decision.

This creates a cycle:

Recipients of the Pride of State Award may be considered for the Individual Pride of Nation Awards where they meet the national criteria.

However:

State recognition does not automatically guarantee national recognition.

National-level assessment remains independent and is based on its own merit criteria.

Veterans India may reject or withdraw a recognition if:

• Material information was knowingly misrepresented.
• Supporting evidence was fraudulent.
• Serious misconduct affecting award eligibility becomes established.
• The Veterans India name or award is misused.
• Award rules were materially violated.

Any withdrawal decision is documented and reviewed through the appropriate process.

The Individual Pride of Nation Award is a recognition programme of Veterans India.

Unless explicitly documented for a particular cycle, the recognition is not described as:

• A Government of India award
• A military decoration
• A statutory honour
• A civilian award conferred by the President of India
• An official government ranking

Website, certificate and promotional language accurately identifies the awarding organisation and any formally documented supporting partners.
