Evidence Before Publicity

Media visibility alone should not determine selection.

The quality of contribution matters more than event presentation.

No Pay-to-Win

Donation, sponsorship, participation fee or organisational association should never guarantee an award.

Quality Before Quantity

Awards should remain selective enough to retain value.

From State Recognition to National Consideration

Outstanding Individual Pride of State Awardees may be considered for the Individual Pride of Nation Awards, subject to national eligibility and independent evaluation.

The progression pathway is:

District → State → Nation

However:

Pride of State recognition does not automatically guarantee Pride of Nation recognition.

National selection must remain independent and merit-based.

Veterans India Pride Awards

Awardees may be encouraged to continue contributing through:

  • Mentoring
  • Expert sessions
  • Youth interactions
  • Institutional programmes
  • Community initiatives

Ethical & Legal Standards

Veterans India should reserve the right to reject or withdraw an award if:

  • Material information was knowingly misrepresented.
  • Supporting evidence was fraudulent.
  • Serious misconduct affecting eligibility becomes established.
  • Veterans India branding or the award is misused.
  • Award rules were materially violated.

Any such decision should follow an appropriate review process.

Veterans India Pride Awards

Important Clarification

The Individual Pride of State Award is a Veterans India recognition programme.

Unless formally documented for a particular edition, it should not be described as:

  • A State Government award
  • A Government of India honour
  • A statutory civilian award
  • A military decoration
  • An official government ranking

Any formal government, institutional or other supporting association should be described exactly as documented.
